UPGRADE OR DIE. Really? Maybe not. But with AI swallowing everything in its path, and transhumanism next in line, the question is no longer science fiction. It is the theme of Metal Hurlant Issue 6, and here is its cover!
The illustration, by the great Beb-deum, first appeared on the cover of Région étrangère ("Foreign Region"), a graphic novel written by Jean-Pierre Dionnet, published by Humanoids in 1989 and never translated into English. You will find more about it in the Publisher's Note of the issue itself, and in an upcoming post on The Publisher's Log, here on the blog.
Already printed and about to reach our warehouses for fulfillment, the issue ships to subscribers this month and hits stores on November 17. Haven't subscribed or renewed your subscription yet? There's still time.
